Job summary

Emerald seeks a seasoned Director of Privacy & Compliance to own the global privacy program, oversee regulatory obligations, and partner with business teams. This role reports to the Deputy General Counsel and coordinates with Product and Security.

You will manage DPAs/SCCs, RoPA, DPO relationships, and provide guidance on AI governance across GDPR/CCPA. Hybrid work in a dynamic data-driven environment, focused on enterprise-wide privacy excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in privacy, data protection, or related legal experience, with senior or lead privacy role at a global company or top-tier firm.
• Deep, hands-on GDPR expertise and familiarity with CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, PIPL, etc.
• Track record drafting and negotiating DPAs, SCCs, and data processing agreements.
• Experience mentoring legal professionals; comfortable with hybrid IC/manager responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and mature the global privacy program, including strategy, roadmap, and governance.
• Administer the end-to-end DSAR workflow with timely responses across jurisdictions.
• Lead PIAs/DPIAs and embed privacy-by-design into product lifecycle.
• Draft, negotiate, and maintain DPAs, SCCs, and BCRs with vendors/partners.
