Job summary

Intuit is hiring a Corporate Counsel, Privacy Compliance to help manage and mature core components of our global privacy program. Reporting to the Head of Privacy Regulatory Compliance on the Data Privacy team, you will proactively assess legal risk and use your experience to provide smart, practical guidance to stakeholders about the responsible usage of data.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of legal experience (in-house and/or at a law firm).
• Strong working knowledge of US state and federal privacy laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, GLBA) and familiarity with international frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PIPEDA).
• Experience building, running, or maturing privacy programs.
• Technologically adept, with working fluency with AI and emerging technologies.
• Comfort engaging directly with technical stakeholders on data flows, system design, and engineering trade-offs — you don’t need to write code, but you need to be conversant with those who do.
• Proven ability to translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable policies, frameworks, and guidelines.
• A learning mindset and comfort operating in ambiguity as laws and technology continue to evolve.
• Concise and efficient communicator.
• JD and membership in good standing with at least one US State Bar.

Responsibilities

• Manage privacy risk assessments and governance for CCPA regulations.
• Oversee global data subject rights program (DSR) across US and international.
• Improve privacy compliance tooling and automation opportunities.
• Advise on privacy-by-design principles for new tech.
• Translate regulations into scalable policies and playbooks.
• Monitor regulatory landscape, incl. AI privacy laws.
• Collaborate with Legal, Product, Engineering, and Business teams.
