RingCentral seeks a Senior Privacy Counsel to serve as the primary privacy advisor for product teams developing AI-first communications and contact center solutions for multinational customers. The role reports to the Head of Privacy and blends legal expertise with cloud technology insights to drive compliant, innovative offerings.

Qualifications

• JD degree and active US state bar membership.
• 6+ years of legal experience focusing on data privacy.
• Direct experience counseling product teams on privacy requirements.
• Deep knowledge of major global privacy laws and their application to product development.
• Understanding AI-related legal and governance implications.
• Experience solving product legal matters and communicating with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to streamline legal processes.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to triage, prioritize tasks, and adapt as a team player.

Responsabilités

• Act as dedicated privacy legal point of contact for Engineering and Product teams throughout development lifecycles.
• Provide legal advice on privacy implications of new features, including AI features.
• Lead PIAs and DPIAs for new features and services.
• Ensure RingCentral services comply with evolving global privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with Information Security to align privacy with security controls (including HIPAA considerations).
• Develop and update customer-facing materials on RingCentral Trust Center.
• Support records of processing activities and data transfer documentation.
• Support incident response by aligning with laws and representing privacy team.
• Monitor global privacy trends and engage with industry peers.
• Guide Privacy Team members in their roles.
