Job summary

RingCentral is seeking a Senior Privacy Counsel to support product teams building AI-first communications and contact center solutions globally. The role requires translating international privacy laws into actionable guidance for growth and innovation, reporting to the Head of Privacy.

You will lead privacy assessments, oversee compliance, and collaborate with security and product teams to align privacy with technical controls.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of legal experience focusing on data privacy.
• Experience counseling product teams on privacy requirements.
• Deep working knowledge of major global privacy laws.
• Understanding AI governance implications in privacy.
• Experience communicating with stakeholders across legal/technical.
• Proactive ability to streamline legal processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as dedicated privacy law advisor to Engineering and Product teams.
• Provide legal advice on privacy implications of new features, including AI features.
• Lead PIAs and DPIAs for new features and services.
• Ensure RingCentral compliance with evolving global privacy regs.
• Collaborate with Information Security to review product security controls.
• Develop customer-facing privacy resources and disclosures.
