RingCentral, Inc. seeks a Senior Privacy Counsel to serve as the primary privacy legal advisor for AI-first product teams. You will translate global privacy laws into actionable guidance, drive PIAs/DPIAs, and ensure regulatory compliance across multi-national products.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Information Security to align privacy with security controls and risk assessments, including HIPAA considerations where applicable. Belmont, CA-based role with broad impact.

Qualifikationen

• J.D. degree and active US state bar membership.
• 6+ years of legal experience focused on data privacy (in-house and/or law firm).
• Direct experience counseling product teams on privacy requirements.
• Deep knowledge of major global privacy laws with practical application to products.
• Understanding AI governance implications and privacy interplay.
• Proven ability to drive streamlined legal processes and cross-functional collaboration.

Aufgaben

• Act as dedicated privacy legal contact for Engineering and Product teams.
• Provide privacy guidance on AI features and product developments.
• Lead PIAs and DPIAs for new features and services.
• Ensure RingCentral complies with evolving global privacy laws.
• Coordinate with Information Security to align privacy with security controls.
• Develop customer-facing privacy resources and transparency materials.
• Support records of processing activities and data transfers.
• Assist incident response with privacy considerations.
• Monitor global privacy trends and advise on posture and templates.
• Mentor Privacy Team members as needed.
