Caterpillar is seeking a seasoned sales engineering professional to drive value-centric solutions for large diesel standby generators in Irving, TX. You will partner with regional sales teams, dealers and customers to maximize product value and growth.

You will develop training programs, lead allocation processes, and engage in industry events, building strong cross-functional relationships and facilitating customer-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in power generation, energy systems or related industries.
• Experience in field, dealer, customer-facing, sales engineering or technical-commercial roles.
• Strong collaboration, communication, relationships and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work across regions, cultures and organizations with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as global SME for large diesel standby generators, leading regional sales teams, dealers and customers.
• Lead development and implementation of customer-focused solutions to maximize value and growth.
• Lead monthly product allocation, maximize satisfaction and orders, advise on high-value opportunities.
• Develop and deliver product, application and value-selling training for dealers and field teams.
• Represent Caterpillar at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as a product expert.
• Collaborate with sales and product teams to capture customer insights and market needs.
• Mentor commercial teams and foster a culture of learning and customer focus.
