Job summary

The role focuses on ads policy addressing scams & deceptive marketing and requires translating issues into practical guidelines for product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in a policy, legal, Trust and Safety, or technology environment.
• JD, MBA or Master’s degree in a technical field.
• Experience in policy in the technology sector and key tech policy issues (privacy, safety, AI, content moderation).
• Experience with the ads ecosystem or ad technology.
• Experience combatting online scams.
• Ability to translate complex issues into simple language and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate policy issues facing product and technology platforms and develop policies and enforcement recommendations.
• Lead, develop, and implement policies for Google products with a focus on user safety and product quality.
• Influence product decisions and prioritization to improve policy-related user experience.
• Drive awareness and understanding of product policies within Google and across users.
• Be exposed to graphic, controversial, or upsetting content.
