Job summary

Google is seeking a Policy Specialist within the Monetized product policy team to shape policy for ads-related scams, deceptive marketing, and abuse prevention. You will advise internal teams, design standards, and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to address evolving tech policy challenges.

The role emphasizes translating complex issues into clear guidance, balancing legal requirements with risk management, and driving responsible growth across Google products globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 7+ years experience in policy, legal, Trust & Safety or technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate policy issues facing product and technology platforms and develop enforcement recommendations.
• Lead, develop, and implement policies for Google products with a focus on user safety and product quality.
• Influence product decisions and prioritization and improve user experience for policy-related issues through collaboration with Product Managers and Engineers.
• Drive awareness and understanding of our product policies within Google and across our user base through research to set industry standards.
• Be exposed to graphic, controversial, or upsetting content.
