Job summary

GiveDirectly is hiring a Senior Manager, People Operations to lead a small team and own global payroll, data quality, and lifecycle processes across multiple countries. This hands-on role sets operating models, escalations, and service standards to ensure accurate payroll and smooth employee experiences.

The role is fully remote with overlap into East Africa and US Eastern hours; candidates based in eligible countries will be considered; sponsorship not provided at this time.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in People Operations, HR operations, or payroll, with multi-country exposure.
• Experience leading a team of 2+ and managing payroll in multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to own HRIS data quality and reporting
• Familiarity with employer of record models and international mobility processes

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for payroll, service delivery, and data across jurisdictions.
• Own end-to-end payroll delivery and payroll calendar, controls, and reconciliations.
• Own onboarding, offboarding, transfers, and role changes with a process-driven approach.
• Own HRIS operations, data quality, and reporting to support leadership decisions.
