Job summary

Goodwin is seeking a diligent People Operations Specialist to manage the full employee lifecycle, ensuring data integrity and efficient processes. The role partners with Legal, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, IT, and Admin to optimize HR workflows.

You will own onboarding/offboarding activities, support performance reviews, and drive process improvements while mentoring junior team members in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of human resources experience; law firm or professional services is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with HRIS systems; Workday is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data integrity and enter HR data into the HRIS system across onboarding, changes, compensation, relocation, offboarding, payroll, and lifecycle changes.
• Audit local data entry, review firm data, and resolve inaccuracies.
• Provide comprehensive HRBP support including performance reviews, talent management, and succession planning initiatives.
• Offer confidential support to Employee Relations and Compliance teams.
• Own onboarding activities: background checks, new hire orientation, I-9 verifications, and 30‑day check-ins; liaise with Talent Acquisition on hiring.
• Own offboarding activities, including terminations and exit interviews.
• Identify and drive process improvements across HR lifecycle and lead rollout of system/process updates with HRIS cross-functional partners.
• Mentor junior People Operations members and HR staff.
• Produce reports, analyze data trends, and support data-driven decision making.
