BDO USA seeks a Senior Manager in Global Employer Services (GES) to lead a team delivering global payroll advice, compliance, and recovery of overpaid payroll for clients. You will review guidance, evaluate policy options, and coordinate with Core Tax Principals to deliver payroll expertise.

In this role you will develop marketing materials, participate in business development, monitor engagement metrics, and apply evolving regulations to client engagements while mentoring staff and driving

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of employment tax experience required.
• Experience supervising employment tax professionals on a project or engagement basis.
• Experience with corporate taxation preferred.
• CPA certification or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
• Exposure to global payroll applications and research tools is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Research and analyze payroll tax topics for client engagements.
• Identify and outline actions to manage global payroll burden and compliance.
• Prepare studies of global payroll implications and outline alternative courses of action for clients.
• Partner with Core Tax and Specialized Tax Services professionals to resolve complex matters.
• Ensure engagements meet metrics and client expectations.
• Collaborate with Business Development to drive payroll compliance service offerings.
• Oversee staff handling inquiries from federal and state agencies.
• Review responses to examiner questions and challenges.
• Monitor work plans for payroll consulting projects.
• Provide tailored solutions combining payroll knowledge with business insight.
• Represent clients before payroll authorities on contested issues.
• Coordinate responses to questions from global taxing authorities.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities with other tax specializations.
• Develop tools and improvements to enhance efficiency of the practice.
