Job summary

BDO USA, LLP in the United States seeks an Employment Tax Manager to help clients set up global payroll, manage US employment tax liabilities, and minimize compliance risks. You will provide written tax advice, evaluate alternatives, and help clients respond to changing tax policies.

You will collaborate with Principals and Senior Managers, market services, and lead multi-state payroll and remote/mobile worker considerations, while supervising Employment Tax professionals and supporting business

Qualifications

Five or more years of employment tax experience.
Experience supervising tax professionals on engagements.
Proficiency with payroll platforms and tax software.
CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred.

Responsibilities

Identifies and analyzes employment tax issues; prepares client studies and outlines action alternatives.
Oversees federal/state employment tax compliance work plans and ensures timely delivery.
Advises clients on multi-state payroll compliance, including remote/mobile workers.
Manages development and cross-selling of employment tax services with other practices.
Represents clients in inquiries with tax authorities and assists in policy interpretation.
