Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a Payroll Analyst to ensure accurate and timely global payroll processing across multiple countries, including the U.S. and Canada. The role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and collaboration with HR, Finance, and external vendors.

You will manage complex payroll components, support regulatory compliance, and drive process improvements using AI tools. A Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of payroll experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of payroll experience, multi-state or international.
• Knowledge of federal and state wage laws, taxes, and payroll best practices.
• 1-2 years of full payroll cycle experience in Workday.
• Experience with U.S. and Canadian payroll and international payroll practices.
• Proficiency in Excel for payroll calculations and reporting.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Experience using AI tools to support payroll processing and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile multi-country payrolls (U.S., Canada, global).
• Serve as Canada payroll subject matter expert; support end-to-end processing and year-end activities.
• Manage complex payroll components (expatriate allowances, hypothetical taxes, tax equalization, gross ups).
• Primary contact for third-party payroll tax vendors (e.g., ADP) for tax filing and year-end reporting.
• Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings and reconciliations.
• Ensure payroll procedures comply with federal, state, local, Canadian, and global requirements; stay updated on tax laws.
