Qualifications

• 2+ years payroll processing experience.
• Associates degree in accounting preferred.
• Experience with SAP is desired.
• Working knowledge of laws/regulations governing payroll, benefits and payroll taxes is preferred.
• Previous payroll experience in a large (2000+) complex organization preferred.
• Must be able to multitask and have high level of Excel proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Positive communication with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for U.S. and Canada.
• Remit tax payments and assist with tax filings.
• Manage and process union payments.
• Process on-demand payments.
• Assist with reconciliation questions and payroll GL accounts.
• Communicate with employees, benefits, HR, managers, banks and agencies.
• Prepare and distribute monthly reports.
• Review company policies affecting payroll responsibilities.
• Plan workload to meet department and business deadlines.
