Job summary

Dyno Nobel, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process bi-weekly payroll for the United States and Canada. You will join a dynamic team that supports all areas of payroll and ensures accurate, compliant processing across jurisdictions.

This 3–6 month contract role requires tax and union payment handling, on-demand payments, payroll reconciliations, and cross-functional collaboration with benefits, HR, and finance to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years payroll processing experience.
• Associates degree in accounting preferred.
• Experience with SAP is desired.
• Working knowledge of laws / regulations governing payroll, benefits and payroll taxes is preferred.
• Previous payroll experience in a large(2000+) complex organization preferred.
• Must multitask with high proficiency in Excel and general computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Positive communication to work effectively with multiple individuals.
• Team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Remit tax payments and assist with tax filings.

• Assist with reconciliation questions and researching payroll GL accounts.
• Communicate via phone, email or in writing with employees, benefits specialist, human resources, managers, banks, credit merchants and state or federal agencies.
• Prepare and assist with running and distributing monthly reports.
• Review and understand all company policies with respect to those policies that may govern the assigned payroll responsibilities.
• Perform planning primarily around individual workload in order to meet deadlines for department and business objectives.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For:

• 2+years payroll processing experience
• Associates degree in accounting preferred
