Zip is hiring a Senior Manager, Global Payroll to oversee US, international and EOR payrolls. You will lead the team, approve payroll, and handle complex pay, tax and compliance issues across regions.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, system improvements, and coordinating with EOR and in-country providers. Strong knowledge of US & Canadian payroll required; CPP/PCP/CPM certification is a plus.

Formación

• 8+ years of payroll experience, including 3+ years of multi-country payroll with external providers.
• Hands-on experience with US multi-state and multi-province Canadian payroll.
• Strong knowledge of US payroll tax, including quarter-end and year-end filings.
• Knowledge of Canadian payroll requirements and provincial differences, and when to bring in local specialists.
• Experience with at least one payroll provider implementation or migration.
• Payroll accounting experience, including journal entries, reconciliations, audit support and equity withholding.
• Experience managing payroll staff and handling confidential pay matters under tight deadlines.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills, and experience working with People Operations, Accounting, Equity and providers.

Responsabilidades

• Review gross-to-net results and reconciliations for each payroll run, including off-cycle payments.
• Build the payroll roadmap for system, provider and process improvements.
• Train and develop the payroll team and handle escalations on complex pay issues.
• Manage US multi-state payroll registrations, agency notices, amendments, and quarter/year-end filings.
• Oversee Canadian payroll across provinces, including ROEs and T4 reporting.
• Coordinate with EOR and in-country providers on international payroll and local compliance questions.
• Partner with Equity on ISO exercise reporting and NSO payroll withholding for international awards.
• Work with People Operations, Legal, Accounting and Equity on pay policies and data approvals.
• Prepare payroll journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Reconcile benefit and 401(k) deductions and remittances, and support year-end 401(k) work and payroll audits.
• Document payroll procedures, maintain controls and automate manual steps.
• Run provider implementations and migrations, and resolve service and data issues.
• Oversee payroll setup for new countries or entities.
