Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking a seasoned Payroll Manager to oversee domestic and international payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will lead payroll administration, optimize processes, and partner with HR, Finance, Tax, and external providers to enable global workforce growth and acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in a related field; 5+ years of payroll experience.
• Progressive payroll experience including leadership roles and international exposure.
• Hands-on Workday payroll experience with ADP tax compliance.
• Strong Workday Payroll and HCM knowledge and payroll integrations.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Experience managing international payroll operations across multiple countries.
• Experience with third-party global payroll providers and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. and international employees.
• Manage biweekly, semi-monthly, monthly, and off-cycle payrolls.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, audits, and tax reporting.
• Lead payroll system administration and testing for upgrades and changes.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Tax, and external providers on controls and processes.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and cross-border payroll requirements.
