Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC (Vertex) seeks a Payroll Manager to oversee domestic and international payroll operations, ensure accurate processing, and maintain compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will lead payroll administration, develop processes, and partner with HR, Finance, Tax, and external providers.

You will serve as the payroll SME for Workday, support system enhancements, and drive improvements in global payroll initiatives and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years related experience; Master's with 3+ years; or 8+ years without degree.
• 3+ years in payroll leadership/management role.
• Hands-on experience with Workday payroll and ADP tax compliance.
• Experience with Workday Payroll, Workday HCM, and payroll integrations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for US and international employees.
• Manage biweekly, semi-monthly, monthly, and off-cycle payrolls.
• Maintain payroll controls and perform audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Tax, and external providers.
