Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC (Vertex) is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee domestic and international payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across jurisdictions. The role partners with HR, Finance, Tax, and external providers to support global expansion and acquisitions.

Responsibilities include system administration for Workday, managing multi-cycle payrolls, and maintaining internal controls. Strong leadership and analytical skills are required for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of payroll experience, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with Workday Payroll and payroll integrations.
• Experience managing international payroll operations across multiple countries.
• Experience with ADP tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. and international employees.
• Maintain payroll systems configurations and tax setups.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international payroll laws.
• Lead payroll staff and develop policies and controls.
• Provide payroll analytics and collaborate with HR, Finance, and Tax.
