Verra Mobility Corporation seeks a Payroll Manager to lead the payroll team across U.S. and Canada, ensuring end-to-end payroll accuracy and timeliness for diverse employee groups, including union and prevailing wage roles.

The role partners with HR, Finance, and IT to optimize controls, improve processes, and support year-end activities while maintaining compliance with complex wage laws and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of payroll experience in multi-state U.S. and multi-province Canada.
• 3+ years of hands-on Workday Payroll experience.
• 1-3 years of people leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a payroll team for U.S. and Canadian operations.
• Oversee full cycle payroll processing across multiple pay groups, including union and prevailing wage employees.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, local, and Canadian regulations, and manage payroll data accuracy and reporting.
• Support year-end activities (W-2, T4) and audit readiness (SOX, internal audits).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and IT to improve processes and internal controls.
