Job summary

iCapital, Inc. is seeking a Global Head of Payroll (VP/SVP) to lead the end-to-end global payroll function across all jurisdictions.

The role oversees payroll operations, payroll accounting, vendor governance, and risk management while shaping the payroll operating model for scalability and strong internal controls. The role collaborates closely with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and HR and manages equity compensation workflows, including RSUs and stock options, ensuring accurate withholding

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a global payroll function with end-to-end ownership.
• Experience owning multi-jurisdictional payroll operations and controls.
• Strong understanding of payroll accounting, internal controls, and SOX processes.
• Experience with equity compensation reporting and tax withholding.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global payroll strategy, operating model, and governance framework across jurisdictions.
• Lead and develop a high-performing global payroll team with a culture of accountability and precision.
• Own payroll governance, controls, and risk management including audit readiness.
• Manage relationships with payroll managed services partners and oversight of SLAs/KPIs.
• Ensure accurate processing of all pay elements including equity-related payments and bonuses.
• Partner with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Legal for financial reporting and payroll funding cycles.
• Oversee year-end payroll reporting for U.S., Canada, and other regions, including compliance with multi-state requirements.
