Job summary

J.S. Held LLC in New York seeks a Global Payroll Manager / Senior Manager to lead payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payments while building scalable processes.

You will partner with HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and external vendors, drive payroll transformation, system optimizations, and M&A-related integrations in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience across U.S. and international jurisdictions
• Experience leading or supporting global payroll transformation and system implementations
• Strong understanding of payroll tax, wage and hour, compliance, and reporting

Responsibilities

• Lead global payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accurate and compliant payments
• Develop and maintain scalable payroll policies and controls across jurisdictions
• Oversee payroll processing, audits, and data integrity
• Drive payroll transformation initiatives including vendor evaluation and system migrations
• Support M&A payroll integration activities and smooth employee transitions
• Manage relationships with external payroll vendors and service providers
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, Tax, and IT on payroll-related processes
• Provide leadership to local payroll resources for consistency and best practices
• Monitor payroll metrics and identify risks; implement improvements
• Research and resolve payroll data discrepancies and regulatory issues
• Stay updated on global payroll regulations and market practices
