Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) is seeking a seasoned Payroll Manager to oversee payroll staff across multiple locations and ensure on-time, accurate processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will lead a team, guide payroll strategies, and collaborate with HR, finance, and operations while supporting audits and process improvements in a dynamic transportation environment.

Regular travel to Jamaica, New York, and Los Angeles, California is required to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
• 10 or more years' experience in multi-state enterprise level payroll experience required
• 5+ years of payroll experience supervising and managing a team.
• Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
• Proficient knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance.
• Familiarity with payroll software/HRIS and timekeeping systems (SAP, ADP, Kronos)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily workflow of the payroll department.
• Ensure payroll processing is timely and accurate across locations.
• Maintain records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and best practices.
• Guide and develop payroll staff and provide oversight under the Payroll Director.
• Collaborate with Time & Attendance, Compensation, HRIS, Finance and Operations teams.
• Support payroll audits and SOP documentation.
