Factory is seeking a Payroll Specialist to own payroll operations end to end, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely payments across US and international employees. You will collaborate with Finance, People and leadership, implementing scalable controls and documentation to support rapid growth.

You will manage tax registrations, deductions, and payments, while coordinating with global payroll providers and EORs.

Qualifications

• Experience owning payroll operations end to end.
• Ability to handle multi-state and international payroll with proper tax withholdings.
• Strong collaboration with Finance, People and leadership to scale payroll processes.

Responsabilités

• Run full-cycle payroll for US and international employees with accurate tax withholdings.
• Process commissions, bonuses, equity vesting, severance, and other variable pay.
• Handle changes in compensation, hires, terminations, and off-cycle payments.
• Manage payroll taxes registrations, deposits, filings, and notices at federal, state, and local levels; coordinate with international providers.
• Set up payroll for new countries and manage international payroll/EOR vendors.
• Administer 401(k) contributions, benefits deductions, garnishments, and contractor payments.
• Coordinate payroll entries with Accounting and assist month-end close, quarter-end and year-end tasks (W-2s).
• Develop processes, controls, and documentation to scale payroll as the company grows.
• Maintain accurate employee data with People, Finance, Tax and Legal teams; answer payroll questions.
• Leverage AI and automation to reduce manual reconciliation and reporting work.
