Job summary

Capital One seeks a Director, Risk Advisory for the Global Payment Network to lead risk and compliance guidance across network schemes such as PULSE, Discover, and Diners Club.

You will partner with line functions and executives to shape risk management programs, develop capabilities globally, and coach a Risk Advisory Team while supporting regulatory examinations and governance reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience is required.
• At least 8 years of legal, compliance, or risk management experience or regulatory experience in consumer financial services/payments.
• At least 4 years of people management experience.
• At least 4 years of experience consulting with and presenting to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with first and second line functions to analyze the risk management program framework for the network and merchant services business.
• Provide advice and challenge on risks impacting the network and merchant businesses to leadership.
• Advise business leaders on regulatory requirements, policies, and industry standards.
• Develop expert understanding of end-to-end network and merchant processes worldwide.
• Identify trends in business data and assess network payments risks and external risks.
• Maintain expertise in global payments laws and regulations.
