Job summary

Afterman Software LLC is seeking a deeply technical product leader to own the design of end-to-end technical business flows, translating complex business intent into concrete system behavior. Qualifications

• 7+ years in technical roles with design of complex systems
• Hands-on ability to read code, API specs, and data schemas
• Experience designing end-to-end flows for a complex transactional domain, including edge cases and failure handling
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to learn unfamiliar domains quickly
• Experience aligning product, engineering, and compliance stakeholders without formal authority

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the product team to design technical business flows that solve business problems and support new feature development
• Provide technical guidance to internal engineering teams based on product requirements from business units
• Produce high-quality flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and written requirements documentation that engineering can build directly from
• Meet with external partner engineering teams during sales and integration calls to answer technical questions about our platforms
• Perform UAT testing on certain new system modules and complex feature sets
• Assist with various special projects and vendor integrations
• Contribute to product backlog grooming sessions with product managers and engineering teams
• Design payment and onboarding flow patterns intended for reuse across multiple countries and regulatory regimes, rather than one-off per-market solutions
• Partner with Product, Compliance, and Legal to translate multi-jurisdictional regulatory requirements into workable solution designs
