Job summary

deeplay is seeking a Senior Payments Architect to own and scale the global payment ecosystem from scratch. The role requires designing a cost-efficient, reliable payment strategy, coordinating with Marketing and Sales to push into EU, Asia, and CIS, and guiding PSP acquisitions and integrations throughout the roadmap.

You will drive currency localization, smart routing, and robust error handling while building a 24/7 monitoring system and leading a small payments team.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in PSP markets across Europe, Asia, and CIS.
• Experience building PSP acquisition and integration processes from the ground up.
• Proactive communication and strong ownership; identifies solutions and informs stakeholders before issues arise.

Responsibilities

• Own the global payment ecosystem from scratch.
• Architect the payment strategy to improve user payment experience while keeping costs low and reliability high.
• Align with Marketing and Sales to expand into key GEOs: EU, Asia, and CIS.
• Select PSPs and determine commercial terms.
• Negotiate top-tier conditions and manage the PSP integration roadmap.
• Improve success rates through smart routing, currency localization, and error handling.
• Build a 24/7 monitoring system and scale payment support processes to minimize complaints.
• Lead and mentor a team of 2 specialists.
