Paysafe, a global payments platform, seeks an experienced finance architect to lead payments finance initiatives and document end-to-end money flows. You will map events to accounting entries, design automation for journal entries, and build scalable reconciliation frameworks across platforms.

This is a hybrid role reporting to the Corporate Controller, Latin America, with collaborations across Product, Engineering, and Treasury.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in payments finance or related roles.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Experience documenting money flows and mapping system events to accounting events.
• Experience with SOX compliance and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Responsabilités

• Act as the finance architecture lead for new products and platform changes.
• Document end-to-end money flows from customer initiation through processing, settlement, safeguarding or funding, reconciliation, and general ledger reporting.
• Map product and system events to accounting events, including transaction initiation, authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, fees, FX, reserves, and other lifecycle events.
• Design automated journal entry logic, accounting rules, data requirements, and interfaces to the GL and subledgers.
• Design scalable reconciliation frameworks across payment platforms, processors, bank accounts, settlement files, subledgers, and the GL.
• Define reconciliation ownership, frequency, matching logic, tolerances, exception handling, aging, escalation, and reporting requirements.
• Identify control gaps and assess SOX and financial reporting implications.
• Lead cross-functional design workshops with Product, Engineering, Operations, Treasury, Accounting, Tax, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Controls teams.
• Translate complex payment flows and technical system behavior into finance requirements and implementation-ready designs.
• Provide finance leadership for ERP, subledger, data platform integrations.
• Drive standardization, automation, and process efficiency while maintaining governance and control.
• Support future ERP system and global operating model for Latin America.
