Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience required.
• At least 10 years of legal, compliance, or risk management experience OR at least 10 years of regulatory experience in consumer financial services or payments industry.
• At least 5 years of experience in people management.
• At least 5 years of experience consulting with and presenting to senior executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with first and second line functions to analyze the existing risk management program framework; educate and influence risk management colleagues and senior leaders.
• Provide advice and challenge on risks impacting network and merchant businesses through formal and informal engagements.
• Advise business leaders on regulatory requirements, policies, and industry standards.
• Develop expert-level understanding of end-to-end network and merchant processes worldwide.
• Proactively identify trends in business data and network payments risks.
• Maintain subject matter expertise in broader payments industry and applicable global laws and regulations.
• Ensure compliance in expansions and new products; evaluate opportunities for card acceptance and global markets.
• Develop relationships across the lines of defense; collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Audit.
• Coach and develop others; support regulatory exam and engagement preparation.
• Manage, develop, and coach a Risk Advisory Team.
• Participate in reporting to senior leadership.
