Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager for the Global Payment Network (GPN) Controls Advisory Team. This role partners with GPN leadership to modernize controls, drive automation, and align first-line controls with regulatory and internal standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience.
• 5+ years of Risk Management experience with expertise on control creation, testing, methodology and design best practices.
• 5+ years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to mitigate risk and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for controls-related projects and inquiries to provide expert advice on new control builds and modernization of existing controls.
• Drive initiatives to automate and improve control processes where appropriate.
• Develop a scalable controls advisory function and framework to support the GPN business.
• Help ensure alignment of first line controls with regulations, risks, internal policies, and industry best practices.
• Partner with second and third lines of defense to ensure a cohesive control environment.
• Provide oversight and guidance on the controls governance framework across the organization.
