Insight Global is seeking a Packaging Engineer/Brand Protection Specialist for a large pharmaceutical client in Cambridge, MA. This role provides project management support and technical expertise to partner with Manufacturing Operations, Quality and Validation to introduce Global Brand Protection (GBP) technologies to Finished Goods production and distribution. This role develops, reviews and deploys packaging components that impact manufacturing processes, records, compliance and product security. This role works with internal and external resources and packaging suppliers to achieve functional packaging goals and workflow process management.

PACKAGING ENGINEER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide technical assessments and technical support for implementations and investigations.
• Work closely with global suppliers, engineering, product management, operations, and sourcing.
• Will be the interim business owner of Brand Protection guidance documents, as well as Brand Protection processes. As part of this role, assess supply chain changes and initiatives and act as change control assessor.
• Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems relating to Brand Protection features and provide creative, timely, and cost-effective solutions.
• Participate in product introduction teams, to deliver new products to market.
• Lead packaging component vendor readiness projects to use Brand Protection features.
• Develop gap analysis for packaging site implementations and provide input on pack equipment qualification protocols and process validation strategies (IQ/OQ/PQ/PV).
• Participate in the deployment of packaging and security elements at Contract Manufacturing Operations (CMO) and Distribution (3PL) sites.
• Work with the manufacturing and logistics department to insure that the Brand Protection designs are optimized for manufacturability and distribution practices.
• Develop and implement comprehensive Brand Protection test scenarios to ensure that the packaging provides a successful means for use in detection of anti-diversion, tampering or fraudulent products.
