AbbVie is seeking a senior Medical Affairs leader to drive global strategy and evidence plans across US and international markets, with emphasis on oncology/hematology. You will lead cross-functional teams, shape pipeline governance, and influence commercialization strategies from discovery onward.

The role requires deep scientific acumen, strong leadership, and the ability to translate complex data for diverse stakeholders across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., oncology/hematology).
• 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with a focus on oncology/hematology.
• Proven expertise in clinical development, regulatory requirements, and commercialization of oncology therapies.
• Demonstrated leadership in medical affairs, including managing direct and indirect reports and cross-functional teams.
• Strong scientific knowledge of solid tumor biology, clinical trial design, biomarkers, and emerging modalities (immuno-oncology, targeted therapies).
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional stakeholder engagement.

Responsabilités

• Lead and oversee pipeline medical strategy and value/evidence planning across disease areas for US and International markets.
• Drive differentiation of medical, value and evidence strategies from discovery through pre-launch and launch.
• Coordinate across therapeutic areas to align TA-level pipeline strategies into a cohesive AbbVie plan.
• Integrate insights from HCPs, patients, and payors into development and commercialization programs.
• Co-create brand strategy for assets with embedding of US and international market insights.
• Represent medical affairs in pipeline governance and serve as the point of contact for commercial and development teams.
• Oversee resource management and staffing across the lifecycle, including early discovery to inline teams.
• Ensure smooth handover to US and international launch teams and minimize duplication of effort.
• Lead integrated evidence planning and collaboration with Value and Evidence teams.
