Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a senior Medical Affairs leader to drive the global pipeline strategy in oncology/hematology, shaping evidence generation and differentiation across therapeutic areas and geographies.

You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with international TAs, and ensure alignment with development and commercialization efforts while mentoring the next generation of medical affairs professionals.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent advanced degree in a scientific field (e.g., oncology).
• 15+ years in pharma/biotech with oncology/hematology focus.
• Proven leadership in medical affairs, managing teams and cross-functional groups.
• Strong knowledge of clinical development, regulatory requirements, and commercialization.
• Expertise in solid tumor biology, trial design, and biomarkers.

Responsibilities

• Lead global pipeline medical affairs strategy and differentiation across TA and assets.
• Direct pipeline execution and ensure alignment with enterprise research teams.
• Collaborate with International TAs, Global TH BU and Development.
• Represent TA in pipeline governance and with commercial and development partners.
• Manage resources and coordinate handover to launch teams globally.
