Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Medical Director in Oncology Clinical Development (GI) to oversee the design, execution and interpretation of complex clinical programs. You will lead cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality data and regulatory compliance to inform strategy.

Required are an MD/DO (or non-US equivalent), 2+ years of trial experience, and strong English communication skills for global collaboration and leadership across functions.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Ability to run a clinical research program of moderate complexity with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interact externally and internally to support a global scientific and business strategy.
• Knowledge of clinical trial methodology and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees direction, planning, execution, and interpretation of clinical trials or research activities for one or more programs.
• Designs and implements one or more clinical development programs in support of a Product Development Plan.
• Provides in-house clinical expertise and coordinates translational strategies with internal stakeholders.
• Serves as Clinical Research representative for regulatory discussions and ensures adherence to GCP and safety standards.
