Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Senior Medical Director, Oncology Clinical Development (GI), to lead and oversee one or more clinical development programs in oncology. You will manage trial design, execution, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations and Regulatory teams.

The role requires MD/DO with subspecialty experience, 2+ years of trial experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or international equivalent with relevant specialty.
• Residency completion strongly preferred; subspecialty fellowship desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, execution and interpretation of clinical development programs.
• Monitor study integrity and timelines; assess safety and efficacy data.
• Provide in-house clinical expertise and coordinate translational strategies where needed.
• Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practices and regulatory requirements.
