Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Senior Director of Operational Procurement to lead the OFCI program for its global data center footprint. You will bridge Construction, Engineering, and Operations, shaping strategy, playbooks, and teams that scale infrastructure responsibly and cost-effectively.

In this role you’ll drive category strategy, supplier performance, and risk management while aligning stakeholders across regions to ensure long-term performance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain, with significant data center or infrastructure experience.
• Experience owning OFCI or MEP equipment procurement and coordinating owner-furnished/contractor-installed delivery.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage capital/construction and operating/facilities services contracts.
• Strong leadership to build teams, processes, and playbooks from the ground up.
• Excellent commercial and analytical skills across cost modeling, benchmarking, and TCO.
• Track record of scaling procurement governance in hyper-growth environments.
• Proven cross-functional influence and transparent stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Embed operability, serviceability, and TCO into early-stage sourcing and specs.
• Standardize the OFCI operating model and RACI for clear hand-offs.
• Secure asset-data continuity, warranty protection, and spare parts for steady-state ops.
• Execute global category strategies for OFCI equipment, long-lead plant, services.
• Use market intelligence to optimize make-vs-buy decisions and secure capacity.
• Structure and negotiate capital, construction, and facilities agreements with SLAs.
• Own change orders, back-charges, and renewals across the global fleet.
• Establish supplier performance frameworks with scorecards and QBRs.
• Mitigate supply risk with dual-sourcing, capacity reservations, and compliance onboarding.
• Build and mentor a high-performing procurement team with scalable governance.
• Drive cost-saving and cash-flow alignment across functions.
