DHL Global Forwarding in New Jersey is seeking a Global Ocean Freight Tender Manager to lead end-to-end RFQ processes for high-value, multi-country opportunities. You will coordinate with Commercial, Ocean Freight Trade/LCL, and regional teams to craft competitive tenders and ensure governance, pricing discipline, and data quality.

The role requires strong analytical and pricing skills, English communication, 20% travel, and the ability to work across cultures to deliver winning solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in RFQ processes and tender management.
• Minimum 6 years in ocean freight; at least 4 in tender/pricing leadership.
• Excellent English communication.
• Willingness to travel approx. 20%.
• Ability to work across cultures and regions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tender process for strategic global ocean freight RFQs.
• Coordinate inputs across origin/destination countries, trade teams, and pricing contributors.
• Translate customer requirements into clear pricing instructions for Pricing Specialists.
• Ensure all approvals are secured prior to submission and that governance is followed.
• Provide market insights, win strategies, and continuous improvement actions.
• Oversee quality of tender content, pricing files, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure effective handover of awarded business to implementation teams.
