Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in the United States is seeking a Global Ocean Freight Tender Manager to lead end-to-end RFQ processes for high-value opportunities. You will coordinate with Commercial, Ocean Freight Trade/LCL and regional teams to craft competitive, executable tenders and ensure governance and data quality throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires strong pricing acumen, stakeholder management and the ability to translate customer needs into differentiated solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 6 years in Ocean Freight forwarding industry.
• At least 4 years in tender management or pricing leadership roles.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and oral).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tender process for strategic global ocean freight RFQs.
• Coordinate inputs across origin/destination countries and pricing contributors.
• Translate customer requirements into pricing instructions and commercial design.
• Ensure submissions meet governance, templates, timelines, and quality standards.
• Support award analysis, win/loss reviews and handover to implementation teams.
• Drive value-added services, digital solutions and sustainability elements in tenders.
