Job summary

CREATIVE INNOVATION INC is seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Operations Specialist to manage ocean export bookings and daily freight-forwarding operations. The role requires understanding international shipping procedures and the ability to independently handle the entire ocean export process.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean exports or international freight forwarding.
• Ability to manage the entire ocean export process from order intake to cost reconciliation.
• Familiar with SO, SI, VGM, bills of lading and related docs.
• Experience with both FCL and LCL shipments.
• Experience across US/European or Southeast Asian trade lanes preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem solving skills.
• Detail oriented and able to manage multiple shipments.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipping instructions and confirm routes, vessel schedules, container types and quantities.
• Submit bookings to ocean carriers or agents and review booking confirmations (SO).
• Coordinate container pickup, loading, customs clearance and documentation cutoffs.
• Prepare and review bills of lading and submit SI and VGM documentation.
• Track vessel departures, shipment status and arrivals; address delays or issues.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, brokers, trucking and overseas agents.
• Review charges and invoices; assist with accounts receivable/payable when required.
