Job summary

Univar Solutions seeks a Global Nutra Director to build and scale a profitable, science-led nutraceuticals platform. The role reports to the SVP Health & Nutrition and drives strategy, investment decisions, and execution across the Americas, EMEA, and LATAM with global P&L responsibility.

You will lead a centralized US-based Global Core, build a stand-alone Nutra business from early stage, and manage headcount and capital aligned with demand and performance. Travel globally expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science, food science, nutrition, chemistry, or related technical discipline.
• MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
• 10+ years in sales, marketing, product management, and/or business development with P&L ownership.
• Experience in nutraceuticals or dietary supplements preferred.
• Understanding of specialty ingredient distribution and supplier economics.
• Proven ability to build a business from an early stage with disciplined investment.
• Strong analytical and business judgment with ROIC and cash flow considerations.
• Knowledge of global nutraceutical regulatory/quality frameworks.
• Demonstrated success building high-performing teams and coaching talent.
• Willingness to travel globally.

Responsibilities

• Own global Nutra P&L and investment roadmap, delivering the 5‑year strategic plan and balancing growth, margin, capital, cash flow, and ROIC priorities.
• Set and execute the global Nutra platform strategy, including portfolio scope, scale gates, risk tolerance, and regulatory pathways.
• Build and scale the global operating model with consistent processes across Americas, EMEA, LATAM.
• Lead supplier and portfolio development roadmap, including formulations, exclusivity, pricing, and contracts.
• Drive strategic growth and development, including North America M&A under $75M in revenue, from target identification to integration planning.
• Allocate resources across regions, phasing 12–17 additional positions over four years.
• Partner with regional Sales Directors to translate the platform into regional growth.
• Build and lead a Global Core team including PhDs, lab techs, regulatory, marketing, BD.
• Collaborate with Ingredients & Specialties, HR, Finance, IT on capabilities and change management.
• Monitor performance and present progress to Health & Nutrition leadership and Board; represent Univar Solutions with customers and suppliers.
