Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Global Project Engineer to join our CBS Global NPI organization in Valley Green, Pennsylvania. You will drive technical project execution from design transfer through mass production, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring manufacturing readiness.

Travel is required, about 25-40% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial or electrical engineering.
3-5 years of NPI or complex technical project experience.
Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering and manufacturing activities from development to production ramp.
Knowledge of drawings, BOMs, process validation, tooling, equipment qualification, test readiness, PFMEA.
Strong project-management including scheduling, milestones, risk management, issue escalation, and action closure.
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Teams; PLM/ERP/MRP/Power BI/SharePoint preferred.
Excellent communication and influencing skills across functions, sites, and time zones.

Responsibilities

Drive technical project execution for global CBS NPI programs through EVT to MP, with emphasis on manufacturing readiness and schedule discipline.
Develop integrated engineering execution plans covering design releases, BOM readiness, tooling, equipment, test, quality, process validation, capacity, and production readiness.
Coordinate Product Engineering, Global NPI, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Test, Automation, Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, and site engineering teams around milestones.
Lead action-item discipline and maintain technical risks, dependencies, owners, due dates, recovery actions.
Serve as global technical coordination point for NPI execution, ensuring that design changes, manufacturing constraints, and site readiness are visible and resolved quickly.
NPI Phase-Gate Execution - support readiness reviews for EVT, DVT, PVT, qualification, pilot, and MP release.
Build Readiness & Execution - plan prototype and production build readiness, confirming BOM, drawings, material, tooling, equipment, software, test systems, and staffing.
Engineering Change & Configuration Control - coordinate design revisions, BOM changes, drawing releases, and test changes.
Risk, Issue & Recovery Management - maintain risk/issue registers; lead containment and recovery actions.
Manufacturing & Test Readiness - coordinate process validation, equipment acceptance, test correlation, line qualification, yield improvement.
Schedule & Dependency Control - identify critical-path items and coordinate recovery plans.
Global Site Deployment - support transfers and launches at global manufacturing sites.
Performance Reporting - prepare dashboards and updates on milestones, readiness, risks, and yield.
