Job summary

Amphenol Corporation is seeking an experienced NPI Process Engineering Manager in Schaumburg, IL to lead global NPI teams, drive process development, and ensure smooth transfer to production. You will mentor engineers, manage cross-functional projects, and apply Lean, Six Sigma methodologies to improve yield and reliability.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electromechanical or Mechanical).
• 12+ years of experience in Process Engineering, Process Qualification, or New Product Introduction within electronics or connector manufacturing.
• At least 5 years of current experience in a Manager position.
• Strong problem-solving skills, data-driven with SPC, Six Sigma.
• Experience with high-speed stamping, injection molding, plating or connector manufacturing preferred.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate activities for global NPI teams.
• Provide feedback to Design Engineers on components and assemblies (DFM).
• Analyze process data, recommend improvements to the ME team.
• Coordinate process qualification and customer samples via NPI personnel.
• Transfer to Production after development documents and qualifications.
• Lead root cause analysis for production issues and customer complaints.
• Resolve technical problems affecting manufacturing, supply chain, or product performance.
• Document process specs, work instructions, and engineering change notices.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to improve yield and reduce cost.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to drive measurable improvements.
• Mentor and lead a team with accountability and excellence.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
