Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions, a division of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking an NPI Automation Engineer in Valley Green, PA. You will collaborate with NPI teams to integrate automation into new product builds, review designs for automation feasibility, and advise on fixture design and material handling to ensure scalable automation solutions.

Global deployment and travel are expected for installation and training at international sites.

Qualifications

2+ years as an engineer in a manufacturing environment or 5+ years total experience.
Proficient in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi).
Experience with robotics systems (FANUC, ABB, UR) and robotic integration.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with NPI engineering teams to integrate automation into new product builds.
Review designs to identify automation opportunities and constraints.
Input on fixture design, part orientation, and material handling for automation compatibility.
Design reviews to ensure manufacturability and scalability of automation solutions.
Support installation, commissioning, and validation of automation systems at international sites.
Train global teams on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Scale automation solutions from pilot to full production globally.
Support upgrades and retrofits of automation systems to improve performance and reliability.
