Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Valley Green, PA, is seeking an Automation Engineer to join the Cable Backplane Systems team. You will contribute to design, development, and deployment of high-speed, precision automation for backplane assembly and prototyping.

The role requires 5+ years (MS) or 10+ years (BS) in mechanical or robotic engineering, with hands-on experience in automation and electrical controls. Domestic and international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• MS or BS in Mechanical/Robotic Engineering with relevant experience.
• Experience with automation, PLCs, and electrical controls.
• Solid modeling tools knowledge, Creo/Pro/E preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project-management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts, scope of work, and design automated tooling.
• Design, test, and deploy automated systems and validation plans.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers on prototypes and pilot production.
• Contribute to high-volume factory automation through cross-functional engagement.
