Job summary

Meta is seeking a Network Production Engineer who designs, builds, and operates our global backbone, datacenter, and AI network. The role blends software and network engineering to maintain high reliability and scalability across platforms.

You will lead automation, CI/QA tooling, and deployment initiatives, collaborating with hardware, software, and sourcing teams to push scalable network solutions that power Meta's products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years designing scalable and reliable systems and networks.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Go, Rust or similar languages.
• Experience configuring network devices and NMS systems; vendor configs (Juniper, Cisco, Arista, etc.).
• Experience in learning software, frameworks, and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Establish global best practices and design scalable network solutions.
• Develop automation for product introductions, deployment, and operations.
• Lead CI, validation, testing infra, release, and configuration management across backbone, data center, and edge networks.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and sourcing teams to develop networking solutions.
• Investigate complex technical issues across networks, tooling, hardware failures, and network issues.
• Develop operational process improvements and scalable automated workflows.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and contribute to team growth and mentorship.
