Job summary

Meta is seeking a highly skilled Network Production Engineer to design, build, and operate our global backbone, datacenter, and AI network infrastructure. You will blend software and networking expertise to develop scalable solutions, automation, and tooling that sustain billions of users across Meta apps.

You will participate in design, automation, and incident response, collaborating with hardware, software, and sourcing teams to push the boundaries of networking and AI-driven workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in scalable and reliable systems and/or networks.
• Experience coding in Python, C++, Go, Rust, etc.
• Experience with network devices and NMS systems.
• Experience in developing configurations for vendors (Juniper, Cisco, Arista).
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems.
• Commitment to responsible, ethical AI practices.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement global best practices and design new, scalable network solutions.
• Conceptualize, build, and maintain automation and tools to support new product introductions, network deployment, release engineering, and operations.
• Design and develop solutions that scale across hardware platforms of network equipment.
• Lead enhancements of automation for CI, validations, testing infrastructure, release, and configuration management.
• Work with hardware, software, and sourcing teams to develop new networking solutions.
• Investigate complex technical issues across networks and automation tooling.
• Develop operational process improvements with scalable automated workflows.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and on-call readiness.
• Mentor team members and contribute to team growth.
