Job summary

Meta is seeking a Network Production Engineer to design, build, and operate our global backbone, data center, and AI networks. You will create scalable network solutions, develop automation tools, and lead CI/testing enhancements across our hybrid infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable networks.
• Experience coding in at least one language (Python, C++, Go, Rust, or Java).
• Knowledge of TCP, IPv4/IPv6, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, MPLS, ISIS).
• Experience with multi-vendor network devices and NMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement global best practices; design scalable network solutions.
• Conceptualize, build, and maintain automation/tools for product introductions and deployments.
• Design and develop solutions that scale across hardware platforms of network equipment.
• Lead automation enhancements for CI, validation, testing, release, and configuration management.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and sourcing teams to influence future networking infra.
• Investigate complex issues across networks, from tooling to hardware failures.
• Develop operational processes and automate workflows to improve efficiency.
• Participate in on-call rotation and mentor team members.
