Job summary

Meta's Network Production Engineering team is building and operating a massive global backbone, datacenter, and edge networks. You will blend software and networking to design scalable solutions that power our family of apps and AI workloads, from planning and deployment to monitoring and incident response.

You will implement automation, work with multi-vendor devices, and mentor teammates while participating in on-call rotations to improve reliability and efficiency across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable networks or systems.
• Experience coding in at least one language (Python, C++, Go, Rust, or Java).
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, and routing protocols (BGP/MPLS/ISIS).
• Experience configuring multi-vendor network devices (Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Brocade).
• Experience with network devices and NMS, or servers, load balancers, databases, storage, messaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement global best practices and scalable network solutions.
• Develop automation and tools for product introductions, deployment, release engineering, and operations.
• Design solutions that scale across hardware platforms.
• Lead automation improvements for CI, validations, testing, release, and configuration management.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and sourcing teams to develop new networking solutions.
• Investigate complex issues across networks, from tooling to hardware failures.
• Improve operational processes with scalable automated workflows.
• Identify roadblocks, design and deliver automation solutions, drive cross-team changes.
• Proactively find gaps affecting multiple teams and drive execution.
• Participate in on-call rotation and share lessons learned.
• Mentor team members and contribute to growth.
