Job summary

Meta is seeking a Network Production Engineer to design, build, and operate our global backbone, data center, and AI networks. The role blends software and networking to deliver scalable, reliable infrastructure across Metas services.

You will develop network software, tooling, and automation, participate in on-call rotations, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to drive efficient operations in AI workloads and datacenter networks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field; 6+ years building or operating scalable networks.
Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, C++, Go, Rust, Java).
Experience with TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, routing (BGP, MPLS, ISIS).
Experience configuring network devices across vendors (Juniper, Cisco, Arista).
Familiarity with network services ( DHCP, DNS) and NMS systems.

Responsibilities

Establish and implement global best practices and design scalable network solutions.
Develop automation to support product introductions, deployment, and operations.
Design and deploy solutions across multiple hardware platforms.
Lead automation enhancements for CI, validation, testing, release, and config management.
Collaborate with hardware, software, and sourcing teams to innovate networking infrastructure.
Investigate complex network issues across tooling, hardware, and software.
Improve operational processes with scalable, automated workflows.
Identify roadblocks and drive cross-team automation initiatives.
Participate in on-call rotation and share lessons to improve products.
Mentor team members and contribute to team growth.
