Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to support AWS data centers in Texas.

You will work with minimal supervision to stabilize and scale next‑gen networks and help automate operations, including capacity management and project execution with network leadership. You will operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, handling hardware installation, troubleshooting, and unfolding projects with internal teams and vendors while adhering to best practices and safety

Qualifications

1+ years of computer networking experience.
1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in computer networking.
Experience working with Linux operating systems.
Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
